Wait for him to get right up to you then jump down to the next ring with the water. If you manage to stay out of melee range the worst that can happen is you taking damage from the Starfall clipping you.Īggro Omen, DoT him, run up the ramp of the fountain to the top platform. Run speed meta gem or enchant helps a ton. A feral druid showed up at this point and tanked him on top of the fountain's middle platform while we healed and nuked him down. We got him to about 8% slowly but surely with quite a few deaths but overall a good group effort.

If it doesn't? Well you may take 4 hours to down him but it will happen )Ĭomment by benefactorsamaGroup of about 8 Alliance w/ some stray Horde helping took him down by kiting him up, around, and through the moonwell/fountain behind where he spawns. Moral of the story: get a hunter to kite him forever and eventually help will show up. Unfortunately, by the time we had attracted a lot of alliance players to help us in our raid, the horde were also showing up in numbers, and they noticed that the neutral guards were otherwise occupied and began picking off those of us who were flagged.Įventually Omen went down (I think he slowed when he reached low health), and we all got the buff and the quest. My 49 druid managed to get in several shreds and 5 combo-point bites, but I can't say I played much of a role in the overall DPS. The encounter took more than 30 minutes, with us not actually having a proper raid, but the longer we circled Nighthaven, the more people we had to join us. From time to time the starfall (AOE) attack killed some of us lower levels. The hunter was able to survive the entire encounter barely ever being hit, and only occasionally needing a heal or an innervate. The Wardens and elites would agro on him and help as he followed the hunter around in circles. The hunter kited him around in circles in Nighthaven. Comment by DrCheisAmazingly, I was able to get credit for the Omen kill with the help of a 70 hunter.
